Four methods for controlling mites in edible mushrooms
Edible mushroom mites, also known as fungus lice, fungus spiders, fungus mites, or mushroom mites, can harm various types of edible mushrooms. During the initial stage of inoculation of edible mushrooms, fungal mites damage occurs, and the mycelium of the inoculation block is first bitten, often without mycelium germination; Later, the damage caused by mushroom mites can cause the mushroom buds to atrophy and die. Mushroom mites damage the fruiting body, causing discoloration or holes in the affected area, seriously affecting yield and quality. Mushroom mites are small and difficult to see with the naked eye, which can easily harm mushroom. Therefore, timely prevention and control of mushroom mites should be carried out in the cultivation and management of edible mushrooms.
After about 7 days of inoculation with edible mushrooms, cover the colored film on the surface of the material for 5 to 10 minutes, and then observe closely with a magnifying glass on one side of the cultivated material. Once small, flat or elliptical, white or yellow, and multiple bristles of mushroom mites are found, the following methods should be used to kill them immediately.
1.Spraying acaricide: use 50% omethoate 1000 times solution, inulin 1500 times solution or Kemite 500 times solution to spray acaricide. Using 400 times liquid detergent to spray for 2 to 3 times continuously also has good acaricidal effect.
2. Rapeseed cake bait killing: Spread several damp cloths on the surface of the mushroom mite infested material, sprinkle the freshly fried rapeseed cake on the damp cloth, and when the mites gather on the damp cloth rapeseed cake, remove the damp cloth and place it in boiling water for a moment to kill the mites.
3. Sugar and vinegar bait: Take 1 part of acetic acid, 1 part of water, and 0.1 part of white sugar, mix well, and then drop dichlorvos to form the sugar and vinegar medicine solution. Place gauze or cotton soaked in the medication solution on the surface of the material, and when the mites gather on it, remove and scald the pests. Repeat the above operation until there are no mites.
4. Fresh Bone Trapping: Place fresh pig bones on the bed surface where mushroom mites infest and dispose of them alternately. When the mites gather on it, place the bones in boiling water for a moment to kill the mites. Repeat several times until there are no mites on the surface of the material.
